The Thorn
The Thorn is a self-financed, sporadic, letter-size broadsheet of varying page length which was initiated by a few Hillhurst/Sunnyside community residents in response to the biased coverage in the Calgary mainstream press, particularly with regard to the Calgary Herald strike and the controversy over Bill 11 (privatization of medical services).
Two issues were produced conventionally. Issue three exists only in electronic format, as will all future editions.
Syntax members are involved in the project individually and Syntax provides production support and hosting on this website.
